Twisted Sister se réunira pour son intronisation au Metal Hall of Fame à la fin du mois. Blabbermouth rapporte que le sixième gala annuel de charité est prévu pour le 26 janvier au Canyon Club à Agoura Hills, en Californie. La formation classique du groupe – Dee Snider, Jay Jay French, Eddie Ojeda, Mark Mendoza et le batteur tardif A.J. Pero – sera intronisée par Steve Vai et l’ex-batteur de Dream Theater, Mike Portnoy. La performance du groupe marquera leur première sortie live depuis 2016.
Le guitariste Eddie Ojeda a confirmé la réunion sur son fil Twitter, en postant : « Nous avons hâte d’être intronisés au Heavy Metal Hall of Fame le 26 janvier 2023 à LA ». Dee Snider a partagé le tweet et a ajouté un des siens, qui disait : « Impatient de jouer ensemble pour la première fois depuis 2016. . surtout la répétition ! »
Dee Snider nous a confié qu’en rejoignant Twisted Sister en 1976, la grande vie était presque inimaginable : [“I joined in ’76 and we were wearing make-up and carrying the glam metal torch. Nobody was doing it. There was no Motley Crue. There was no other band doing it. We were literally fighting every night for the right to look the way we looked.
